A report by the Ministry of Intelligence was presented to the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee exposing how every day, more steps are taken by the Arabs toward a Palestinian takeover of Judea and Samaria while Israel closes its eyes. An outrageous and alarming situation.
In a special discussion held by the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee (Tuesday, January 18, 2022) initiated by the Land of Israel Lobby, a report was presented by the Ministry of Intelligence that exposes, for the first time, the planned Palestinian project for the takeover of Area C, its European funding and the Civil Administration’s neglect to enforce the law regarding the Palestinians. Directors of the Land of Israel Lobby: “The battle for Judea and Samaria has reached a critical phase”.
According to the report, the PA, employs about 600 employees in about 100 registration branches of the Lands and Water Authority for a huge project of regulating lands, including those of Area C, with the declared goal of claiming ownership of the area. The regulation project, which gained momentum in 2019 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2022, is sometimes effected by threatening land-owners and it encompasses within it, areas of built-up Jewish settlement, firing ranges and IDF camps.
According to the report, “In the absence of an alternative (Israeli) registration arrangement, it is fairly reasonable to expect that at some point, courts in Israel or other countries in the world will adopt the Palestinian registration”. The report reveals that the extent of the European Union’s investment in the project of Palestinian takeover of Area C amounts to about a half billion dollars.
The report reveals the Palestinian project, which is being carried out through a connection between Palestinian villages and major private planning offices in the area, with foreign elements funding their work, and agents of the PA participating in every meeting and ensuring compliance with the PA’s national interests. This method is intended to create an overload of cases to the Civil Administration’s Office of Planning, in order to make it impossible to cope with the wave of cases, and to exploit the Civil Administration’s directive to stop enforcement proceedings in every place where a plan has been filed.
The report also reveals the legal fight that the PA wages over every building and every dunam, amounting to 475 appeals to the High Court over two years. The idea is to flood the system with such a quantity of appeals that it will be impossible to deal with them in any substantive way, thereby creating compromises between the sides, so that the appeals will eventually be erased in exchange for a commitment not to demolish the buildings. The goal of this method is to make it impossible to take meaningful steps of enforcement to prevent the takeover.
The directors of the Land of Israel Lobby, MK Orit Struk and MK Yoav Kish: “The battle for Judea and Samaria has come to its critical point, after many years of neglect by Israel, the situation has changed for the worse and in recent months the Civil Administration, under the guidance of the Defense Minister, while the entire coalition closes its eyes, is acting for the benefit of Palestinian interests and against Israeli interests”.
The Sovereignty Movement is grateful that the meeting was held and praises its leaders and initiators, the members and heads of the Land of Israel Lobby. The movement states that once again, it is clear that the vacuum created by the lack of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria is being filled with outrageous rapidity with the PA takeover project. “The government of Israel must come to its senses, internalize the fact that the Land of Israel is being conquered under our feet by the Arabs, without a single shot being fired. While some speak of the “status quo”, the Palestinians are continuing, with the European Union’s momentum, to determine facts on the ground, and the longer Israel delays the application of sovereignty, the more difficult and complicated the task of recovery will become”.
