Shalom dear friends,

The entire Land is a battlefront, rockets and missiles are launched into the cities of the Center, the Temple Mount is the focus of Arab rioting and violence, Jews are attacked in their homes, symbols of control and governance such as police stations and Israeli flags are set afire, synagogues go up in flames, pogroms go without a response, live fire in the streets of Israel, violent incitement in the mosques, the thundering silence of Arab public figures and police inaction. All of this and more are symptomatic expressions of one central phenomenon, the lack of governance and sovereignty.

In order to buy another period of sham and false quiet, the Israeli leadership preferred to close their eyes to the increasing manifestations of the civil rebellion within it. The dictates of political correctness have tied the hands and closed the mouths of Israeli leadership and we, the People of Israel, have become accustomed to accepting the ongoing erosion of Israel’s sovereignty.

In an article that we published this week, we called on the leadership in Israel to respond not only militarily against the Gazan wasps’ nest, but also, and especially, to the attack on our sovereignty and governance. In the article, we listed details of several initial steps necessary to take to begin the vigorous campaign to restore and fortify Israel’s sovereignty in its Land.

But for this, the leaders must internalize the importance of the current critical hour. A government that seeks to restore the calm to  Israel’s streets, to restore the Jewish People’s assertiveness at home and abroad, cannot rely on those who support terror and desire the destruction of Israel. This is the kind of government that is needed now, for the future of the People of Israel, and in order to form it, personal battles must be abandoned, the leaders must meet in one room and decide on a format that will make it possible to set out in a new path under the leadership of a strong and broad right-wing government. The People want this; the leadership owes this to them.

Return our sons home!

These days, as the IDF besieges the Gaza Strip and the fight against Hamas terrorists is becoming frontal and clear, the leadership in Israel must not be content with returning to a quiet routine in the south and throughout the country. We must continue to use the tremendous power of the IDF until the Hamas terrorists return the bodies of the late Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul.

This claim is justified, moral and humane and to which all citizens of Israel must be connected, regardless of sector or political position.

United we will stand up together with the Goldin and Shaul families with this simple demand: Bring the sons back home to our borders!

The Trumpeldors of our day

Sometimes people say that the era of pioneering in the Land is over. There are those who think that the vision and its realization were only the purview of previous generations and other days, days of the Undergrounds, Trumpeldor and the pre-state immigration, but the chain of Zionist deeds is far from over. Every generation has its missions, every generation has its people who are imbued with faith and a sense of mission.

This week, as emissaries and representatives of the Sovereignty Movement, we met several families who are residents of the revived Lod. We gave out toys to the children and discussed with the mothers, fathers and children, who have chosen to bring about a fundamental change in the heart of the State of Israel, how they deal with everyday life in their situation.

We met with young families who could have enjoyed a comfortable life in some other kind of community, but chose to do otherwise. They chose to establish their home specifically in Lod, to support and assist the veteran population, which has found itself confronted with difficult challenges, to bring about a flourishing and renewal of the city. The young couples and their children understood the challenge of living in a mixed neighborhood, fully recognized the price that they would pay, but chose to be pioneers in the vanguard and make their personal contribution to the future of the State of Israel and strengthen the People of Israel.

The challenge that these families took on has become more difficult and almost unbearable in recent days, because of the Arab rioting, pogroms, shooting in the streets, rock-throwing and Molotov cocktails, daily lynching attempts and especially, because of the inaction of law enforcement bodies. Nevertheless, in our discussion with them, we sensed a strong spirit, pride and a healthy sense of nationalism that is so necessary for the People of Israel at this time.

The pioneers of the past also did not win much recognition and appreciation from the entire People. They were also subjected to contempt and baseless blame. It was claimed that they were making the conflict worse, that they were endangering themselves and others, that they were not  complying with norms and rules, etc., but years have passed and now everyone knows that it is thanks to them and their acts that we are here in the Land of Israel, in a Hebrew state, with a Jewish military, leadership and achievements that are examples to all other peoples.

This is how it will be with the pioneers of Lod, Ramle, Jaffa and Acre, this is how it will be with the pioneers of Judea and Samaria. The time is not distant when the entire People of Israel will come to thank them for the years of perseverance, their persistence and holding onto the goal that they had set for themselves. The People of Israel will learn about their daily lives, which will be a shining example for us all. Be strong and of good courage, pioneers of our generation.

Meeting superheroes

Yesterday we also visited Sderot to draw strength from the tremendous forces in the inhabitants of this wonderful city.

We met parents and children and talked about their daily struggles for all of us.
On behalf of all of us we passed on to children games and sweets donated by wonderful donors who help and motivate us to continue the activity and expand it.

An increase in aliyah

During such difficult times we wanted to shine a light on an important point that has been come to light this past week in the Makor Rishon conference. It seems that during the past year, the year of Corona, there has been a steep increase in the number of requests for aliyah in Jews from western countries to the Land of Israel.

Following, are some of the encouraging data as presented by the Deputy CEO and Director of the Immigration and Absorption unit in the Jewish Agency, Shai Filber:

France: in 2019, 2497 applications for aliyah were opened; in 2020, 6503 applications were opened. In 2021, until the end of April, 1475 applications were opened. The Jewish Agency believes that in the coming months, we will see a further rise in applications for aliyah as a result of the Sarah Halimi case.

In North America, there are 15,000 open applications for aliyah (in 2019 there was an increase of 3000; the estimate for 2021 is an increase of 5000). In Argentina, an increase of 50% in aliyah applications was registered, in Mexico, from where 100 people immigrated in 2019, 300 immigrants are expected in 2021.

Along with these encouraging data, we hope and expect a mass aliyah of the world’s Jews to the Land of Israel not only during the tough times of Corona and the murder of Jews. The time has come for the leadership of Israel to openly call on the Jews of the world to immigrate to Israel, without regard to any diplomatic issues. To remind the entire Jewish world that the Land of Israel is the only safe, Jewish home of the Jewish People.

Together with our young emissaries

The recent severe events reinforce the need for the approaching youth convention, entitled My Land. The youths are now in the midst of preparations for the event, which will bring a new spirit into its activities, yield new initiatives, bring the various branches of the movement closer together and especially, raise again the call for governance and sovereignty in the entire Land of Israel, and this time even more energetically.

At these conferences, we have the honor of meeting with the future leaders of the State of Israel. Whoever would like to participate in the funding of the convention, the expenses of which are many, of course, is invited to contact us .

When we all participate in this important initiative, it provides the youth with a sense that indeed, they are seen, and rightly so, as the leaders of the sovereignty revolution in the streets of Israel. They deserve praise, they deserve all the support necessary to continue the march forward in the journey toward the realization of the vision.

With thanks and blessings,
Shabbat Shalom and Happy Shavuot,
May we hear good news
And prayers for the peoples’ strength, for the recovery of the injured and the elevation of the souls of the fallen
Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar

The steps taken at the founding of the State of Israel and the events of the Six-Day War have etched into us a profound principle that speaks directly to these very days: this is how sovereignty is achieved.
