Dear friends,
Greetings.

It is hard to believe and difficult to digest a reality in which a people that voted by a large majority of over seventy mandates for right-wing parties, ends up with a government that includes the Left, the radical left and is even dependent on Arab support, and yet we must emerge from this reality on a renewed path, imbued with faith and vision.

In the Rightwing camp, mutual accusations are raging – but whether it is Netanyahu’s presence, Sa’ar’s negative approach, Smotrich’s principles or Bennett’s volatility, it is doubtful whether exchanging these accusations and insults will produce anything for the People of Israel and the State of Israel.

Now, we must remember the Jewish People’s sweeping support for the right-wing values and the connection to the Land of Israel, and if the leadership does not promote these values because of political paralysis, then we, the Sovereignty Movement, will be the resounding voice of the People, the voice that expresses its love for the Land of Israel, the voice that seeks to lead to the implementation of the values of Zionism and Judaism and lead to the People of Israel’s sovereignty over its Land.

We will not allow a paralyzed government to emerge and cancel the right-wing ideology with the hope of promoting civil goals for the entire people. We will remind the right-wing leaders who are members of the government of their declarations and commitments to promote sovereignty, settlement and Jewish identity; we will remind them that if there is no vision the People will hold them accountable, and if they do not lead the vision, they will be replaced with those who will faithfully express the spirit and will of the People.

Our activity as the Sovereignty Movement will not focus only on the leadership, but also on the people and the Israeli street. Years of political paralysis could, Heaven forbid, deepen the sense of weakness and feebleness among the Rightwing camp, the sense of a general freezing of values. We will not be a part of this and we will strengthen the People’s spirit in every way. We will again and with greater intensity, spread the vision of sovereignty and clinging faithfully to the Land of Israel; we will expand our membership circles for our hasbara and consciousness-raising activities and we will prepare properly to form a broad right-wing government with a platform of common values that advances the People of Israel toward its historical aspiration, the application of sovereignty over its Land.

Humility and caution

Among the insights that arise from these political and complex days, is one that teaches us to become stronger in humility and caution.

Even if we make the most ethical and just call for values, even if we see, again and again, that most of the People support the positions of the Rightwing camp, even if the vision of sovereignty spreads to greater and greater circles of supporters, we must not be complacent and self-satisfied. The political sphere can yield surprises from unexpected directions and in order for us not to be surprised again, we must take care that the Rightwing camp will continue to grow among the People, will continue to gain strength, straighten its ideological backbone and be led by leaders of stature who faithfully express the will of the People.

To do this correctly, we intend to fill ourselves with a new spirit even during these confused times, and together with other communities we will also bring about simple democratic justice: when the People votes Right, it also wants to see its leadership lead with right-wing positions.

The mission of citizen number 1

A new president has been chosen for the State of Israel, Yitzhak (Bougie) Herzog. We hope and pray that despite his political past in the Left, Mr. Herzog will know how to unify the People and express the State of Israel’s miraculous spirit to the entire world. As someone who has a personal political background, the spiritual-Torah background of his grandfather and the presidential background of his father, he has the capability and power to do it.

We hope that Miriam Peretz will continue to radiate to the citizens of Israel, her special love for the People, for Torah and the Land, in any role that she will fulfill. Her contribution as a unifying figure who combines different parts of Israeli society is important to all of us, along with her whole style of life and  radiant personality, she expresses the ability to rise from the ashes and grow, from pain to redemption.

The youth leads forward

This coming Thursday June 10th, together with the Sovereignty Youth Movement, we will please G-d hold a convention entitled “My Land- Placing Greater Jerusalem at the Center”, where together with public figures and intellectuals, we will raise the living connection between sovereignty in Jerusalem to sovereignty over the entire Land, as has become clear in recent weeks.

The youth is excited and has been preparing for the event for a number of weeks. We join them in preparations for the conference and are deeply impressed by the initiatives, the activity and the creativity that the youth demonstrate.

Click on the following link to sign up your young people, relatives, neighbors and friends for the conference, whose importance is growing increasingly stronger in light of the political storm that we are now experiencing.

Dear friends and partners, expenses for this important and exciting convention are very high. We thank everyone who already contributed to the success of the conference and we call on those who haven’t donated yet, to please join. Each and every sum helps tremendously. Together we will develop the next generation of leaders.

Here is the link to our fundraising campaign for the convention. Please click on it and watch the short video. Part of it is footage of our dear friend Ari Fuld hy"d who covered our first convention and was so impressed by these youth.

In these troubled times, there is nothing more uplifting and comforting to be partners in shaping Israel’s future leaders
